Developing skills. Shaping lives.

As a business, Applied Behavioral Approaches (ABA) was founded with the goal of establishing a system of support for families of children with autism and other co-occurring developmental disabilities. We pride ourselves on meeting the unique needs of each child we serve.

To provide clients with the highest level of care, we strive to stay current with the most effective, evidence-based practices, utilize technology, review the current research, and attend workshops/seminars to further enhance our knowledge and skills. Most importantly we are committed to subscribing to the 6 pillars, or what I like to call the 6 petals of quality care: safe, timely, effective, efficient, patient-centered, and equitable. We also recognize the importance families play in the therapeutic process and continuously provide parent/caregiver training to ensure generalization and maintenance of each child's newly developed skills.

As an individual, I have worked in the field of education for over 20 years with students in elementary school through post-secondary institutions. During my career I have worked with students who possess various exceptionalities including autism, Down syndrome, cognitive and hearing impairments, as well as emotional/behavioral disorders.

It is my passion for working with these individuals and their families that inspired me to return to school after having already obtained a doctorate in Leadership & Organizational Change to acquire a second master's degree in Special Education with an emphasis in Applied Behavior Analysis and to seek the Board Certified Behavior Analyst credential. Additionally, I have sought professional development to impact a myriad of issues impacting my students including selective mutism, emotional/behavioral impairments, and body-focused repetitive behaviors. I have wrapped all of these experiences together to start Applied Behavioral Approaches.
