Questions?

  • Where will the school be located?

The location of our school is still to be determined. Please check back here frequently for updates.

  • How will an inclusive program benefit my child?

Inclusive settings benefit everyone by fostering diversity, cooperation, and stronger learning experiences.. Here are some key advantages:

    For Neurotypical Children

    1. Develops Empathy & Social Skills – Being around diverse peers fosters kindness, patience, and understanding.

    2. Encourages Leadership & Cooperation – Typical children often take on leadership roles and learn to work with different abilities.

    3. Enhances Problem-Solving & Flexibility – They become more adaptable and better at handling different social situations.

    4. Promotes Acceptance & Reduces Bias – Early exposure to differences reduces stigma and fosters inclusion in later years.  5. Improves Communication Skills – They learn to communicate effectively, even with peers who may have different ways of expressing themselves.

    For Children with Autism

    1. Boosts Social Interaction & Communication – Being around neurotypical peers helps them practice social cues, language, and play skills.

    2. Encourages Imitation & Learning – Watching peers can help with learning behaviors and skills in a natural setting.

    3. Provides a Structured & Supportive Environment – Inclusive classrooms often use evidence-based strategies beneficial to all learners.

    4. Promotes a Sense of Belonging – They feel part of a community rather than isolated in separate programs.

    5. Increases Readiness for Real-World Integration – Exposure to diverse peers prepares them for future social and academic settings.

  • What ages/grades will you serve?

We will initially be accepting children between the ages 3- and 5-years-old, or pre-K to kindergarten. The goal is to add children in the 6- to 9-year-old range, or 1st to 3rd grade as we grow.

  • Will children be grouped by age?

Yes, but with a wider range than in traditional school settings. Children will be grouped into different age groups: Early School (3 to 6) and, as we grow, the Lower School (6 to 9). We believe that children learn best while working alongside peers both younger and older than themselves rather than separated into age-based groups. In addition to their individualized curricula, every child, regardless of age, works together in groups.

  • What will be the hours of operation?

School hours are anticipated to be from 8:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 8:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. on Fridays. (These hours may change due to state scholarship requirements.)

  • How many days per week will my child be able to attend?

    Describe the item or answer the question We will offer 2-, 3-, and 5-day options (e.g., T & TH; M, W, & F; M – F).

  • What would the day look like?

We incorporate work rotation cycles where small groups of children work on different things at different times. This helps to ensure they all engage in the core subjects (i.e., literacy, math, science, social studies) daily. During these times, 1:1 instruction also occurs.

Here is an idea of what a day at our school may look like. This sample schedule is subject to change.
